I'm Amber Herbert, a (mostly) speculative fiction author living in Colorado Springs. I hold a BA in English Literature and have worked as a freelance editor for seven years. I'm drawn to immersive fiction, compelling characters, and poignant prose. Lipstick Covered Magnet is my first novel.
When I'm not writing or reading, I enjoy baking, playing board games, and watching and critiquing TV and film.

Copy edits (diction, conciseness, syntax, grammar, and punctuation): $25 per hour
Editorial letters: $150 for up to 60,000 words; $250 for up to 120,000 words; $300 for over 120,000 words
Full Package (both developmental and copy): $35 per hour for the first round (developmental), $20 per hour for the second round (copy)
